Union University seeks a qualified individual for the position of Director for Student Financial Planning.

Position Description:

  • Coordinate all official reporting for programs administered through the Office of Student Financial Planning
  • Administer all state and federal student aid programs
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of all student financial aid records
  • Remain knowledgeable and current regarding all financial aid assistance programs, and ensure that the Office of Student Financial Planning adheres to all state, federal and institutional guidelines for disbursing financial assistance programs
  • Serve as a financial aid counselor for students and their families
  • Identify new assistance programs that may come available which benefit our students and are consistent with the Mission of Union University
  • Assist the recruitment efforts of the University
  • Serve on the Enrollment Services Leadership Team and assist in evaluating and continuously improving a plan that meets enrollment goals while maintaining good stewardship of the financial resources dedicated to student assistance
  • Supervise all staff in the Office of Student Financial Planning and maintain an environment that is Christ-centered, student-oriented, and excellence-driven
  • Serve as Chair for the Student Financial Aid committee


Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelorís degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. Preference will be given to applicants with an MBA and at least five years of previous financial aid experience. Preference also will be given to applicants with previous experience with the Colleague system.
